Rigid boxes are considered as the premium custom boxes on the market. Now,Let’s have a general overview of the process used to make them
Design and Material Selection
The process begins with designing the box. This includes determining its dimensions, style, and any custom features.Rigid boxes are typically made
from thick, high-quality paperboard like cardboard, greyboard ect. The thickness is often around 1-4mm The paperboard is usually wrapped in a
printed or decorative paper.
Cutting and Grooving:
Large raw boards are cut into the size needed for the box components using die-cutting machines. This involves creating the main panels, covers, and
any additional parts. The cut pieces are then grooving along the lines where the box will be folded. Grooving machine helps ensure the folds without
cracking the paperboard.
Forming the Box:
The individual pieces of paperboard are folded into the shape of the box.The folded pieces are corner pasting together at their edges to form the box
frame. Corner pasting machine ensurse the box sturdy and durable.
Covering the Box:
Once the basic structure of the box is assembled, it is wrapped with a decorative paper or other covering material. This material can be printed with
designs, textures. Some boxes need laminatde or coating to enhance their appearance and durability. like UV coating, foil stamping, or embossing.
Final Assembly and Quality Check:
The box is assembled completely, with all components, decorations, and inserts in place.A thorough quality check ensures that the box meets the required
standards in terms of construction, appearance, and functionality.
